You don't "work" on your emotions. You "work" on your thoughts. Your emotions are the consequence of your thoughts.
Just like a gardener doesn’t "work" on the rose. She works on the soil; cultivating it, fertilizing it, watering it. Nourish the soil and it produces a beautiful, sweet smelling rose. Leave the soil to whatever blows through, rubbish, or poor conditions and you get a sucky rose. If any rose at all!
So, if there’s something in your life you don’t feel good about, are you trying to change the way you feel about it or are you changing the way you think about it? Your perspective.
